10am - 12noon
Columbus Zoo & Aquarium
Water’s Edge Plaza Pavilion 1

The DARE Association of Ohio is taking an opportunity to honor their faithful DAO members who have continued their membership in DAO over the years and who are actively instructing the DARE curriculum. Longevity Awards will be based on length of membership in DAO AND years of actively instructing the DARE curriculum in the classroom. Both of these criteria will be taken into consideration when formulating the award lists. Awards will be given for 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years. You must be registered to attend and be present at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium event to receive an award.
Also being presented are the DARE Officer of the Year, The Sheriff James Karnes Law Enforcement Executive, and Educator of the Year awards as well as the swearing in of the new board members.
If there are any questions, or you have had a break in membership status with DAO, contact Monica Miller at the Dublin Office (614-761-9498) to determine how to make current your DAO membership.
Bring your families to the DAO Awards and then enjoy the rest of the day at the zoo!
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
DAO Awards & Recognitions 2014
I want to thank everyone who participated in the 3rd Annual DAO Awards that was held at the Columbus Crew Stadium. It was fun to see everyone together and enjoy the evening spent watching MLS Soccer. Congratulations to all our deserving award winners and to our FIRST 25 year longevity award recipient, Dick Groves. The flame of DARE continues to burn brightly in our communities and hearts. Plans are underway for next year’s big award event. More information to follow.
